Barbeque
We will of course have our social side events during the tournament this year, too. The dates and final details are not finalized yet, but the events will include:

Sunday Aug 1 14:00-20:00 Fishing trip 19:00-23:00 Fishing from the shores of Whale Island
Monday Aug 2 14:00-20:00 City walk 11:00-12:30 Guided tour of the town. Includes visits to the Polar Museum and Polaria.
Tuesday Aug 3 14:00-20:00 Boat trip 10:30-12:30 With Caroline Mathilde (the trip can be repeated thursday and friday if enough participants)
Wednesday Aug 4 14:00-20:00 Mountainwalk 10:00-13:00 First up the cable car. Then further walking for the more sporty participants.
Thursday Aug 5 14:00-20:00 Blitz tournament 20:00-22:00 9 round blitz, 5 minutes
Friday Aug 6 14:00-20:00 Barbeque party 20:00-23:00 To Nordgården farm for dining and enjoinment.
Saturday Aug 7 14:00-20:00 Quiet evening
Sunday Aug 8 10:00-22:00 Closing cemony 16:30-17:15 Prize givings, cultural events, speeches
In addition one of the days Hans Olav Lahlum will lecture on “USA, the World Society and the Presidents 1914-2010: From Woodrow Wilson to Barack Obama”
